For a chance to see wildlife first-hand, nature and science-loving visitors can visit the stocking area, also known as the Nui Doi Environmental Interpretation Area. It is located 5 km southwest of Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center, east of 20 Quyet Thang Street.

The garden with a total area of ​​more than 20 hectares was formed with the support of the Frankfurt Zoological Society and the Cologne Zoo of Germany. This place has typical values ​​of natural landscape, geology, geomorphology and biodiversity. Inhabiting this karst forest are 87 species of vertebrates, including 12 mammals, 25 birds, 19 fish, 20 reptiles, 12 amphibians and 234 species of higher plants. 170 genera and 74 families).

The function of this site is to restore wild habit to primates and some animals before releasing them into the wild. In addition, inside the forest, there is an Information cave, which was used as a fortress of the Vietnamese army and people to protect and operate communication systems, serving the resistance against the US to save the country.

Phong Nha Botanical Garden

Located about 12 km from Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center and on 20 Quyet Thang Street, the 40-hectare Botanical Garden is the destination for visitors who want to learn more about the precious flora and fauna. the national park, as well as enjoying the natural landscape, breathe the fresh air. In the garden, near the entrance area, the bombs are displayed and some pictures of the legendary Truong Son battlefield.

There are 2 itineraries for guests to choose from, both from the Gallery. This is a place to keep models and mummies of typical animals and insects in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. From here, visitors have an overall look and equip some knowledge before starting the journey. The first route is 2.5 km long for all guests including the following routes: Gallery – Arboretum – Vang Anh Lake – Hundred years old tree – Vong Canh Hill – Wind Waterfall. The fare for this route is 40,000 VND / person, suitable for families with children.

The second itinerary is longer and is only available to visitors who are on tour booked or accompanied by a guide, including locations on the route: Gallery – Gio Waterfall – Tien Waterfall – Old Gua – Hang Dam – Hundred years old star tree – Vang Anh Lake. Ticket price is 80,000 VND / person.
