The 200-year-old apricot tree is owned by Mr. Duong Tan Dung (57 years old, Long Xuyen city, An Giang province). Currently, the “grandmother” of apricots is located at a cafe on Nguyen Hoang Street, My Hoa Ward, Long Xuyen City (An Giang Province) for guests to visit and see the apricot blossoms blooming brightly.

This two-century-old apricot tree has a straight shape, about 5m high, with a canopy of 3.5m widespread across the tetrahedron. This is a type of apricot (soon to bloom) with a very large base, with many lumps and veins on the body.

The owner of “apricot” said that he bought this apricot tree on Tan Loc island, Thot Not district (Can Tho) at the end of 2018 for 1.7 billion VND. After buying, many people asked to buy apricot trees, even some people “fixed” the price of 6 billion, but Mr. Dung did not sell.

“Besides this “grandfather” of this apricot tree, I also collect about 10 old apricot trees with ages ranging from tens of years to 100 years, each tree costs more than 2 billion VND”, Mr. Dung shared.
