Dak Lak, Dak Nong or Kon Tum all have unspoiled destinations with their own identities.

Lak (Dak Lak)

Lak district (Dak Lak) has recently become a favorite destination for tourists. From Buon Ma Thuot airport, you can take a service bus to the center of Lak district and start your journey to discover this place.

Another plus point that makes Lak attractive is because of the appearance of Lak Tend Camp, a resort located on a peninsula in the middle of Lak lake. The space of Lak Tend Camp is green with a design imbued with the identity of the Central Highlands ethnic groups.

You can choose to sleep in a tent or bungalow for between VND 1.5 million and VND 3.5 million/night. The restaurant here also serves local dishes such as grilled chicken, lam rice, forest vegetable soup… for about 200,000-300,000 VND/person/meal.

In Lak, you can experience riding a “chopper” (a type of vehicle used by locals to carry people and agricultural products) or cycling into villages. After that, you can visit the organic cocoa garden, taste fresh cocoa beans and drink cocoa liquor. Watching the M’nong make pottery from clay taken from the fields at the foot of Chu Yang Sin mountain is also an interesting experience.

In addition, you can go trekking and explore the Bim Bip waterfall. Because the waterfall is still unspoiled, there is no tourist service, so you can bring food and drink and rest to dine right at the waterfall.

Ta Dung (Dak Nong)

Ta Dung is known as “Ha Long Bay on land”. About 45 km from the center of Gia Nghia city, Ta Dung lake possesses a wild and majestic natural landscape. When building the Da Dang hydroelectric power plant, Ta Dung lake became a place to store water, creating about 400 large and small islands.

From Ho Chi Minh City, you can take a bus to Gia Nghia city or take a private car along National Highway 20 or Highway 28.

You can choose to rent a boat to Ta Dung lake to admire the scenery and take souvenir photos. If you have a lot of time, camp overnight at the lake to see the beautiful sky at sunrise and sunset.

Black bamboo shoots (Kon Tum)

You can take a plane or a bus to Kon Tum city. If traveling by private vehicle, you can follow Highway 14 through Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong and Buon Ma Thuot to reach Kon Tum and then continue on to Mang Den.

The “specialty” of Mang Den is “3 lakes and 7 waterfalls”. Among them, famous ones can be mentioned Pa Sy waterfall, Lo Ba waterfall, Dam Bri lake, Toong Dam lake. Coming here, you will enjoy the poetic, fresh air with diverse and rich vegetation.
