LANG SON – Anh Tran Hung has just spent the last days of July wandering around taking pictures of the golden season and watching the rice harvest.

At the end of July, Mr. Tran Manh Hung, living in Hanoi, had a two-day and one-night trip to Lang Son. Accompanying him is a group of friends who are passionate about photography. The group departed from Hanoi early in the morning, traveling by private car straight to Bac Son.

Bac Son is a district located in the west of Lang Son province, about 160 km from Hanoi, famous for its rice fields. Every July, this place is also a tourist attraction, when people flock to see and capture the golden season.

Hung shared that the purpose of this trip was to “hunt” the golden season. This has also been his favorite since three years ago and regularly visits once a year. “In 2020, I climbed to the top of Na Lay, Bac Son town and stayed there for one night. In 2021 and 2022, I only take pictures at the foot of the mountain,” he said.

Lang Son is close enough to move without taking much time, but also far enough for visitors to find a peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Immersing yourself in the quiet space of the countryside, watching the afternoon blue smoke from the small kitchens in the mountain neighborhood, watching daily life and enjoying Lang specialties such as roast duck, humiliation… will be an experience. Memorable.

From Hanoi to Bac Son takes nearly 3 hours to travel. Visitors can go in the direction of Hanoi – Thai Nguyen, then follow Highway 1B to Bac Son town.

In addition, you can also take the Bac Giang – Lang Son highway, then turn to Huu Lung, through Huu Lien commune and to Bac Son. “This way is more difficult to go, but the scenery on the road is very beautiful, especially when going through Dong Lam steppe, in Huu Lien commune,” Hung shared.

In addition to the top of Mau Son, which specializes in serving tourists “hunting ice and snow”, Lang Son is also known as an ideal place to photograph peach and pear flowers in spring. In addition to the above locations, visitors can visit Quynh Son community tourism village to visit and learn about yin and yang tile making. This is also a tourist attraction in recent years.

If you only go to see the golden season like Hung and his friends, the suitable time for the trip is two days and one night. In the photo is the harvest activity.

In August and September, Mr. Hung will continue to photograph the yellow season on terraced fields in Hoang Su Phi, Ha Giang; Mu Cang Chai Yen Bai and Muong Hum, Lao Cai.
