In terms of weather, Buon Ma Thuot has a typical climate of the Central Highlands with two distinct rainy and dry seasons. The most suitable time to travel to Buon Ma Thuot is in the dry season from December to April next year. At this time there is no rain, cool, not too hot. This is also the time when festivals of ethnic minorities take place. December has brilliant wild sunflowers, and February to March has romantic coffee flowers. 

The rainy season is from May to November, causing travel difficulties on some dirt roads far from the center.

Buon Ma Thuot city is hidden in the lush Central Highlands with natural scenery that is both poetic and wild, able to conquer every travel-loving heart.

Buon Ma Thuot is a big city of Dak Lak, with a modern investment and construction transport system, convenient to move to other localities. From Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can fly directly to Buon Ma Thuot airport. From the airport to the city center is only about 10km, you can take a motorbike taxi or take a taxi. Besides, you can take a bus from Ho Chi Minh City, the travel time is about 8 hours, from 9 pm to 5 am the next day is to arrive.

The roads are quite nice, but the attractions are quite far from the center. Visitors can take a tour with a shuttle car, or rent a motorbike to experience the beautiful roads.

Elephant Yang-tao rock cluster includes Elephant Father rock and Mother Elephant rock, located about 5km apart. Two stone slabs shaped like an elephant appear in the middle of the mountains and forests of the Central Highlands
