HA GIANG – No need to wait until September, buckwheat flowers are blooming in Thach Son Than, Quan Ba district.
Visitors to Ha Giang expect once to see buckwheat flowers on the rocky plateau. However, not everyone has the opportunity to go to the right flower season in the last months of the year from September to December. A group of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Giang in mid-May had the opportunity to admire the beauty of flower petals. The triangle of white, pink, and light purple pulses bloom in a large area at Thach Son Than tourist site, along with National Highway 4C in Quyet Tien commune, Quan Ba district.
According to growers, the buckwheat flower field at Thach Son Than often welcomes visitors on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, through this period, the flowers are still blooming fresh and beautiful, the entrance fee is 10,000 VND/person. . There are also related products such as flower seeds and buckwheat cakes for customers to try.
The tour guide said that because it is planted out of season around April-May, the weather and climate also affect the flower color. With an average temperature of 25-28 degrees Celsius, the flower color is pale, mainly white, and pale pink. Until the end of December, when the temperature is lower, and the air is cold, then the flowers will have the main colors of purple and dark pink. However, watching flowers out of season is also an interesting experience for tourists when visiting the rocky plateau.
Thach Son Than is located in the geological heritage complex of Dong Van rock plateau. This place is a cluster of tall limestone columns with strange shapes and unique shapes, considered by locals as sacred mountain gods, guarding the gateway to the Dong Van plateau. Next to Thach Son Than is green corn fields, and pure white buckwheat flowers creating a charming landscape.
After watching the flowers, visitors continue to move towards Highway 4C to go to Quan Ba heaven gate, see the Twin Mountain (Co Tien mountain), two mountains with a balanced shape between nature.
