HOA BINH – Choosing a location near Hanoi to camp alone overnight, the young photographer feels like he is in the middle of the universe.

Travel photographer Tran Van Linh, born in 1994, wanting to enjoy the feeling of peace and temporarily get away from the heavy atmosphere of the city, took the camera and went camping alone at Hang Kia – Pa Co (Hoa Binh) on a day in mid-June.

Knowing this place from a business trip in Moc Chau and Son La, when Hang Kia was little known, Linh fell in love with the beauty and wildness of this place, always wanted to return to “enjoy” it. alone. He shared that he is an astrophotography enthusiast, even though he camped alone, he still decided to go because he had more freedom in time as well as the freedom to create his own photos. Twice Linh has come to camp alone overnight here. On a motorbike, the 27-year-old man traveled about 160 km to move from Hanoi to Hang Kia – Pa Co, following the rather dangerous mountain pass terrain.

Departing at 13:00 pm from Hanoi, Linh arrived at Hang Kia – Pa Co at 7 pm and set up a tent. Linh shared, camping alone in the wilderness is a rather special feeling for him. “I have the feeling of living in harmony with nature, and a feeling of needing to be wary of everything around me. The quiet space only hears the sounds of insects, the wind whispers in my ears in the fresh air. Everything reminds me of the feeling of being ‘a bit cold’ inside, but it’s all warm when looking up at the sky of millions of stars,” Linh said. While taking pictures of the Milky Way, the young man forgot all his worries and just wanted to shout in the middle of the forest because the photo he took was too beautiful for him.

In order to capture the galaxy like that, Linh has prepared good camera equipment such as lenses with large apertures, and also prepared herself with knowledge about astronomy, weather and photography techniques. “The difficulty that comes to me is mostly due to nature, it is necessary to expose it long enough to capture the night sky, but just a little cloud or high wind can make the device and the scene shake strongly,” Linh shared about the difficulty. difficult at work. The night mist covered his body when he opened the curtain, his eyes looked up at the starry sky, the milky way across the top of the tent, making him feel like he was lying in the middle of the space of the universe.

According to Linh’s instructions, when coming here, there will be a local people’s house collecting entrance tickets of 30,000 VND/person. He shared that there are no warning signs here. To ensure their own safety, visitors need to contact the host to report their presence, camp in a safe place, avoid insects and the impact of nature such as mountain landslides, high winds, rain. When you wake up in the morning, if you are lucky, you can hunt clouds, overlapping layers between the great mountains.

Hang Kia – Pa Co valley is located in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province, located between four rocky mountains, covered by clouds all year round. This place is quite crowded recently during the day, but at night, according to Linh, there are almost no people. This place used to be a “hot spot” for security, but now it is a safe place with a lot of potential for tourism development.
