LAM DONG – Stepping into the forest of red leaves in D’ran, Xuan Thuong’s group felt like they were in the middle of Europe.

Nguyen Xuan Thuong, born in 1997, now lives and works in D’ran, shared about the journey of camping to see red leaves, for tourists who like romance.

Located at the gateway to Da Lat , the land of D’ran in the Don Duong district is quite wild. If anyone has ever read “The Story of the Old D’ran” by Lam Trung Chau, they will know a dreamy D’ran where everyone has heard the name once but it is difficult to imagine.

D’ran got its name from the French period. The town is geographically located between the two passes of D’ran and Ngoan Muc. Therefore, people also call D’ran the town with the back of the pass. D’ran is not famous in the tourism world and Don Duong district is not as developed as other districts, so D’ran retains much of the wildness of nature and genuine people.

With the motto of leaving without a schedule, a group of 7 people from Thuong gathered in D’ran a day before to inquire about information about suitable places for camping. Thuong said, there are many camping areas in D’ran, including Taly Pass D’ran, P’ro Ngo, Lam Tuyen hill, Ong Cop temple, Da Man forest gate, Chau Son pine hill, valley Flowers… The whole group was led by the natives to a lakeside area with many red leaves, a beautiful scene like a fairy tale. “I go to the forest when I feel insecure or uncertain, and I believe that nature does not disappoint those who are looking for it,” Thuong said.

Thuong’s group left motorbikes at a homestay, trekking to reach the campsite. The road is quiet, weaving between the ancient pine forests, through a few clear streams, leading straight down to the lake. At the end of the road is a calm lake, also where the group stopped to camp. In addition to gathering to talk, BBQ and have fun, take pictures, the highlight of this journey is that each person will spend some time apart, sitting in a corner to meditate, connect with nature, let nature heals the soul.

Having experience camping in many forests in Vietnam, Thuong said that places with red leaves are very few or if there are few, for example, some places have maple leaves . Therefore, when they reached D’ran, the group thought they were lost in a forest in Europe. “Like a fairy tale,” Thuong recalled.

The scene evoked many emotions for them. “Red leaves are an expression of the beginning, it also reminds me of new roads or the next journey, how to keep the red blood in the person always enthusiastic, creating many values to contribute to the beauty of the world. beautiful for this lifelike those changing colors”, Thuong recalled the moment when he and nature became one.
