Mr. Pham Ha, 60 years old, planted more than 100 pots of chrysanthemums, said the price of flowers depends on the height of the tree and the beauty. Before selling, the owner of the garden uses a nylon rope to wrap the flower pot so that the flower pot is compact, not damaged during the move.

Chrysanthemums are present in every garden, next to people’s houses. Many houses are old, no longer inhabited, but the garden is still used to grow flowers.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Vinh, Chairman of Tu Nghia District People’s Committee, said that the new Nghia Hiep flower brand was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology as an opportunity for the flower village to be known more, creating stable jobs for local people. direction. The district has also promoted brand promotion, applied science and technology in the stages of planting and caring.

People in the flower village tie bows for Tet chrysanthemum flowers to sell for a better price.

Currently, a pot of chrysanthemums costs 150,000 VND to 1.5 million VND, depending on the height and quality of the flowers. Tran Quang Trung, the owner of a garden with 600 flower pots, said the price of chrysanthemums increased by 10,000-20,000 VND per pot compared to last year, helping the family earn 70 million VND in the Tet flower crop.

The flower village is also an ideal place for tourists to take pictures.

Ms. Tran Ai Kieu, who came to visit the flower village, was very excited because “seeing flowers is seeing Tet”. Local authorities are also connecting with travel companies to attract visitors to Nghia Hiep flower village before Tet.

The men do the work carrying large flower pots from the garden to the truck. Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, 40, a “florist” said that seasonal work helps him earn 350,000 VND a day. For small pots of daisies, one person can carry them on their own.

With flower gardens far from the main road, the owner of the garden must hire a motorbike user to carry the flower behind to bring the flowers to the area where the trucks are concentrated.

Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, a trader, said that he often takes his truck to buy flowers in the early morning or after 2pm, at noon time for workers and flower porters to rest. While the people below carried chrysanthemums to the car, the people on the truck were also waiting to take the flowers.

After getting on the truck, chrysanthemums will go to many central provinces and many places across the country. About a week before Tet, almost all chrysanthemums have been “married” to traders.
