Binh Son Tower is the tallest remaining Tran Dynasty terracotta tower today.

The tower has a total of about 13 to 15 floors, but over time, the impact of nature and renovations, there are still 11 floors and a ground floor.

The tower is 14.7m high, the base of the tower is nearly 4.5m wide. The whole tower is built of more than 13,000 terracotta bricks, covered with a square brick layer, each side is 0.46m long, covering the tower body.

Binh Son Tower, with its elegant shapes, soft lines, skillfully decorated, is a high-value historical and artistic relic of our country. This is also considered the highest remaining Tran Dynasty terracotta tower today.

Currently, many bricks of the tower body still retain their vermilion red color without moss after nearly thousand years of existence.

Only at the foot of the tower has been coated with ancient colors, mosses over time.

In the early 1960s, the Lo river dike broke, flooded continuously, eroded the base of the tower, so the tilted Binh Son tower was at risk of collapse. When the top of the tower fell, some broken roofs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phu province and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to restore.

Currently, many places on the tower have been misty, wind has eroded over time, but the tower still retains its inherent healthy shape.

Binh Son Tower was discovered and researched from the French period, the French rated it as the most beautiful tower in the North.

On 4/1962, Binh Son tower was ranked as a national historical-cultural relic by the State and in March 2016, Binh Son tower was ranked a special national monument.
