The Citadel and the system of mausoleums of the Nguyen kings will be free to enter for runners, the Organizing Committee of the VM Hue 2022, from April 9-11.
The Citadel is the common name of the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden City, located in the Imperial Citadel of Hue. Built in the early 19th century, the Citadel has more than 100 beautiful architectural works with magnificent palaces, temples, and ancient shrines such as Ngo Mon, Dien Tho Palace, Forbidden City… Runner participating in VM Hue 2022 will be completely free when visiting Hue Imperial Palace including the Citadel area and Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities (current ticket price is 200,000 VND for an adult). Ngo Mon Gate is one of the symbolic works of Hue city next to Truong Tien Bridge, Thien Mu Pagoda or Ky Dai. Hue’s Ngo Mon Gate was built according to a complex architecture, consisting of two main parts: the base of the platform below, the Ngu Phung floor above. Khai Dinh Tomb is always one of the must-see check-in places of tourists when coming to Hue. The mausoleum is located on Chau Chu mountain, about 10km from the center of Hue city.
