He departed from Ho Chi Minh City early in the morning, took 7 hours by car to get to Bac Lieu, and had breakfast in Tra Vinh to rest halfway. Time to take the ferry from Tra Vinh to Soc Trang is also a time to rest.
Ghoshitaram Pagoda, Xiem Can Pagoda, Bac Lieu Wind Power, Phuoc Hai Ancient Temple
The first place that Nhut Long checked-in was Ghoshitaram Pagoda, also known as Cu Lao Pagoda. The main color of the temple is red, yellow and bold Khmer architecture, so the photo is very prominent. Xiem Can Pagoda is a famous spiritual tourist destination in Bac Lieu. The temple dates from the 19th century with unique motifs, lines, and sculptures. Not far from Xiem Can Pagoda, about 5 minutes by car is Bac Lieu Wind Power . Here, Nhut Long clearly felt the afternoon air in Bac Lieu, “full of sunshine and wind”. After that, he returned to the hotel to rest. On the way back, Long passed the Ca Ong Temple (Phuoc Hai Co Mieu) Nha Mat. Monument to musician Cao Van Lau, Quan Am Phat Dai, Hung Vuong Square
After resting, Long continued on his way to the memorial area of musician Cao Van Lau . This is the final resting place of the famous author Da Co Hoai Lang in the South. Visitors are introduced to his background, career, and art development from Da Co village.
Long continues to move to Quan Am Phat Dai or Phat Ba Nam Hai at the beginning of sunset. The 11-meter-tall Buddha statue, built-in 1973, faces the East Sea to bless and protect fishermen who are living at sea. Long shared, that even though it was late at night, the flow of pilgrims was still very large.
After that, Long returned to the hotel to rest, take a shower and go to dinner. He chose Hong Dao noodle soup at Le Duan roundabout, behind Bac Lieu Department of Natural Resources and Environment for dinner. “The taste of the broth is rich and delicious, the fish meat is quite good, the dipping sauce of the restaurant is quite delicious,” Long shared.
After eating, Long rode his motorbike around the city center. In the evening, Bac Lieu was crowded and bustling. He compares Hung Vuong Square to as crowded and bustling as the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street of Ho Chi Minh City.
Bac Lieu Prince’s House, Cao Van Lau Theater
Long has breakfast with spicy beef noodle soup at Anh Nguyet restaurant . This is a specialty, according to him, nothing impressive. “I think it’s like a thinly-cooked braised beef, so it’s spicy, so the broth has a light, thin, and not rich taste. In the vegetable portion, there’s no price, so it’s a bit lacking,” Long commented. However, the plus point of the restaurant is the enthusiastic owner, and fast service.
After eating, Long moved to the home of the Duke of Bac Lieu. Visitors also have the opportunity to hear about the life of the richest man in the South at one time. Entrance fee is 15,000 VND. The final destination in Long’s Bac Lieu journey is Cao Van Lau’s theater with a unique design in the shape of two conical hats.
The thing that made Long regret the most in the journey was that he had not been able to go to Tac Say church in time due to the long-distance, he could not arrange it because he was afraid of the traffic jam on the way back to Ho Chi Minh City. The church is the resting place of priest Father Truong Buu Diep, who is worshiped and trusted by many people.

495,000 VND is the total cost that Long spent on the trip, including hotel, gas, meals, and sightseeing tickets. To have such a low cost is due to the choice of means of transportation. If you take a bus and go to Bac Lieu to rent a motorbike, the cost will be about 690,000 VND compared to traveling by car from Ho Chi Minh City. The average room price in Bac Lieu is about 250,000-300,000 VND per night. Long affirmed that traveling is to enjoy, “eat well, sleep well, take beautiful pictures, so when you need to spend, you’ll save money. With a cost of about 500,000 VND, I still have a trip worth spending money on. Remember, beautiful photos for souvenirs”.
Journey impressions
This is the first time Long has come to Bac Lieu. After arriving at the place, Long was overwhelmed by the scene that did not disappoint. This is also the first province that gave him a feeling of nostalgia, wanting to return again because he could not complete all the places.
The destination that Long likes the most is Bac Lieu wind power because it has huge wind turbines. Although now wind power fields have appeared in other provinces, Long is personally more impressed with Bac Lieu because the layout is uniform, balanced, easy to take beautiful photos, and can go inside to visit.
Long noted, visitors to Bac Lieu are limited to booking hotels in the Nha Mat area despite the cheap room rates, near check-in points such as Xiem Can Pagoda, and Quan Am Phat Dai but far from the city center, eating, and playing. inconvenient evening.
