Introduction to Tuyen Lam lake
Tuyen Lam Lake is located in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. The lake is located about 6km south of Da Lat city center, surrounded by purple streams and majestic Elephant mountain. Currently this is the largest freshwater lake in Dalat.
Lake was first discovered by Mr. Farraut – a French farmer from the 30s of the last century. During the war, the lake became the Suoi Tia resistance base zone, also known as Quang Trung area. In 1987, Lam Dong Irrigation Company quit the construction of a dam across the Tia stream. Since then, the name Ho Tuyen Lam was born with the meaning of “charming immaturity”.

Guide the way to Tuyen Lam Lake
From Dalat city, there are two ways to get to Tuyen Lam Lake :
– Option 1: From Dalat market, move in the direction of Le Dai Hanh, continue to Tran Quoc Toan. Continuing Ho Tung Mau Street and April 3 Road, you will reach the beginning of Prenn Pass. From here go down to the middle of the pass and pay attention to the right hand side. When you see the signboard “Truc Lam Zen Monastery”, turn that direction and you will reach Tuyen Lam Lake.
– Option 2: Also departing from Da Lat market, you can follow the 3/2 Street, to Pasteur, continue through Trieu Viet Vuong, Tran Thanh Tong to Truc Lam Zen Monastery, you can go to Tuyen Lake Lam.
You can also take a taxi to the lake for about 70,000 VND, but I recommend riding a motorbike to enjoy the beauty on the way.

The pass is long and winding, especially in the rainy season, it is very slippery and difficult, so if you travel by motorbike, be careful!
