During a good red carp season, people raise the commodity to send Mr. Tao back to heaven and are busy with the harvest. In Thanh Hoa, a family sold 3 tons of red carp to the market, earning more than 100 million VND.
Until next time, from December 20 to 22, people in 3 villages of Bai Truc, Tan Co, Tan Hau (Tan Phong town, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province) are rushing to cast nets and harvest red carp. Serving people on the occasion of Ong Cong and Ong Tao Tet .
Local people said that red carp farming has existed since ancient times. Normally, from the 8th lunar month, farmers start stocking fingerlings, and by mid-December is the harvest.
Having spent many years in red carp farming, Ms. Le Thi Thai (Bai Truc village, Tan Phong town, Quang Xuong district) said that this year her family plans to sell more than 3 tons of fish to the market. By December 21, all the fish had been ordered by traders.
Currently, Ms. Thai’s family sells red carp to traders inside and outside the province.
According to Ms. Thai, this year the quality of fish is good but the selling price is not as high as every year. Currently, the price ranges from 80,000 to 100,000 VND/kg.
These days, red carp farmers are rushing to harvest. From early morning to the end of the day, traders come here to buy and collect fish.
Before the days of Mr. Cong and Mr. Tao, local people dredged ponds, pulled nets, gathered fish into a small net, and waited for traders to come and pick up the goods.
During transportation for consumption, carp will be packed into large water bags with oxygen pumped.
According to statistics, in Tan Phong town there are more than 300 households raising red carp. Because red carp brings high economic efficiency, over the years, the locality has regularly created conditions for people to accumulate land funds, converting from rice growing areas to aquaculture land to increase income
