Invited by her son to travel by motorbike to Hue, Ms. Trang abandoned her pre-booked flight ticket to set off.

Luu Thai Anh, 26 years old, living in Da Lat , just had a motorbike trip from Dalat to Hue with his mother Thai Thi Ngoc Trang, 49, from July 13 to 19.

“I was inspired to propose to take my mother by motorbike to Hue. She was so excited that she canceled the plane ticket,” Thai Anh said.

Ms. Trang had previously booked a plane ticket of more than 2 million VND to go to Hue to attend the inauguration of their church in Bao La village. This was the first time she had the opportunity to travel this far by motorbike, so she accepted her son’s invitation, saying it was also “a challenge for herself”.

The mother and daughter traveled on a 7-day journey, of which it took the first 3 days to go to Hue, 2 days to stay in Hue and 2 days to return to Da Lat. According to Thai Anh, such time is reasonable, leisurely go and experience. Every day, mother and daughter drive about 250 km, especially on Friday, they go from Hue to Tuy Hoa ( Phu Yen ) and run for 500 km.

“Worried because my mother’s health is not good, there is a history of heart disease and herniated disc. But going with my mother to explore places that I have not been to is really great for me,” Thai Anh said.

Sitting on a motorbike a lot, Ms. Trang is tired. At such times, Thai Anh will find a place for mother and daughter to rest and drink water. He also said that his mother “likes” to go too much, so sometimes she doesn’t pay attention to hernia disease. “I feel that my mother feels healthy, happier, even proud of conquering a long distance,” Thai Anh confided.

Going through the roads along the coast or rice fields, mother and daughter are excited to see the beauty of Vietnam with their own eyes. The plus point of driving a motorbike by yourself instead of taking a plane is that you can explore beautiful spots, stop at your favorite places to take pictures, chat together, and talk about the beautiful scenery you just saw.

He and his mother were most impressed with Nghinh Phong tower , Da Dia Ghenh in Phu Yen, Eo Gio in Quy Nhon and the countryside in Hue. In particular, he especially loves the way to Ky Co and Eo Gio, because the road is both wide and straight but also long, for a motorbike lover like him, it is quite “high”. When he came to Hue, he enjoyed the peace of Bao La village, cycled around the village, felt the smell of rice.

On the return journey, because she was worried about her mother’s fatigue, Thai Anh suggested that she take a plane, but Ms. Trang firmly refused, saying “to complete this trip”. “My mother is very stubborn, going 500 km a day with only a little hot coal, resting only about 3-4 times,” Thai Anh shared.

However, because they were used to the cool climate of Da Lat all year round, the mother and daughter still felt tired on the way back. The distance is not affected, because the two are still excited, but on the way back, the heat in the Central region makes them both tired, especially the time frame from 10 am to 16 pm is very sunny. However, the mother and daughter were fortunate to have no problems along the way.

The total cost that Thai Anh spent for the trip was nearly 15 million dongs, of which gas was about 2 million dongs. Eating, resting, choosing a point along the way, seeing a good place to enter, but do not pay too much attention to accommodation.

“I don’t remember how much it cost, but the trip with my mother is all reasonable,” Thai Anh laughed.

In the future, when the time is arranged, he and his mother plan to make another trip to the Northwest by motorbike.
