QUANG NAM – Hoi An’s streets are bustling from early morning until late at night in the first days of the new year.

On the morning of February 3, the 3rd day of Tet, Hoi An streets attract thousands of tourists. The old town became fun, shops opened to serve tourists after more than 10 months of closing.

During the Lunar New Year, Hoi An authorities decorate many flowers and lanterns to welcome the new year. Parks along both banks of the Hoai River are arranged with clusters of flower miniatures and lanterns to serve tourists to visit and take pictures in early spring.

Visitors enjoy the decorations and come to take pictures. Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, Director of the Center for Culture, Sports and Broadcasting of Hoi An, said that on the 1st and 2nd of the Lunar New Year, about 5,000 tourists came to visit. Visitors to Hoi An are mainly domestic, most of which come from neighboring provinces and cities. It is forecasted that from today onwards the number of tourists to Hoi An will increase sharply from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The weather in Hoi An in the first three days of the new year is very beautiful, the sun is shining, making the walls painted yellow in the alleys stand out. This place attracts tourists to take pictures.

To serve tourists, the Hoi An government organizes many activities in the program “Going to Hoi An to travel to spring” such as: New Year’s wishes, Ao dai down the street, Spring day calligraphy, bamboo sculpture, chanting songs. huts… These activities will take place regularly, throughout the 2022 Chinese New Year.
