House of the Prince of Bac Lieu
Talking about Bac Lieu, people often mention many anecdotes about Ba Huy (Bac Lieu’s son), famous for having a good time. Bac Lieu’s son’s house with superficial architecture, this is the largest house in the ancient Western provinces. The Prince’s House in Bac Lieu is currently located at 13 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 3, Bac Lieu City.
The house has luxurious Western architecture, known by the people here as “the big house”. This villa was designed by a French engineer, so most of the building materials were brought from Paris. Many details, materials, and furniture in the house are imported from France, the construction details are stamped with the letter P to show the origin. Visitors will be captivated by the meticulous and delicate design lines along with the shimmering yellow lights that create a cozy feeling. The architectural and artistic values of this work are not “outdated” compared to the times, but on the contrary, become more precious and appreciated.
Cao Van Lau Theater
This is a theater project named after the late musician and author of Da Co Hoai Lang – Cao Van Lau. The theater is located in the area of Hung Vuong square, Bac Lieu city. The project owns a record of three largest conical hats in Vietnam, attracting a lot of attention from a large number of people as well as tourists. Bac Lieu is known as the cradle of the form of Don Ca Tai Tu – Cai Luong, the birth of Cao Van Lau Theater serves as a reminder for the next generations to preserve and promote the precious values that people have to cherish. old left. Bac Lieu wind power field
The blower field is about 20km from the city center, from Bac Lieu city along Cao Van Lau road towards the sea, in Dong A hamlet, Vinh Trach Dong commune, is Bac Lieu wind power plant. This is the first wind power project in Vietnam, built in 2010. Currently, there are 62 towers and turbines, each turbine is about 80m high and the propeller is 42m long. Here, visitors can admire the beauty of giant wind turbines towering in the sky. With a beautiful scenery no different from Europe, this place has quickly become a tourist destination attracting a large number of tourists, especially young people who come to take pictures of “virtual living”. The wind power field is located in the area bordering the sea, so the wind is very strong, so it is best to go from 6 am to 9 am or 15 pm.
Vinh Hung Ancient Tower
Vinh Hung ancient tower is located in Trung Hung 1B hamlet, Vinh Hung A commune, Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province. You should definitely visit Vinh Hung Ancient Tower when returning to Bac Lieu. This is the oldest Khmer architecture recognized as a national architectural and artistic monument. From the city center you can follow Cau Sap – Vinh Hung turn left 2km to reach the tower. Coming to the ancient tower, visitors can admire a monumental work in the past, know about the famous Oc Eo culture and have extremely unique photos.
Xiem Can Temple
Bac Lieu is a land with a unique system of monuments, culture, religious architecture and traditional festivals of the three ethnic groups Kinh – Hoa – Khmer. Therefore, it is impossible not to mention Xiem Can Pagoda – one of the largest and most splendid Khmer temples in the South. The pagoda is located about 7km from the center of Bac Lieu city to the East, located in Bien Dong B hamlet, Vinh Thanh Dong commune.
Although not the oldest Khmer temple, Xiem Can Pagoda is always visited by many tourists. This temple has majesty and beautiful architecture that leaves an unforgettable impression. What distinguishes Khmer pagodas from other ordinary pagodas is the sophistication in each wall, roof and pillar. The image of the pagoda appears in striking yellow, surrounded by a solidly built fence with many impressive patterns. If you come on major festivals such as Ok Om bok, Chol Chnam Thmay Festival, Don Ta festival, you will see Siam Can Pagoda being more splendidly decorated with a bustling atmosphere with singing, dancing, etc.

Temple of Ghositaram
Ghositaram Pagoda is one of the tourist attractions in Bac Lieu that most clearly shows the Buddhist culture and beliefs of the Khmer people in the South. Ghositaram Pagoda is located in Cu Lao hamlet, Hung Hoi commune, Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province. This place is like a “fine art museum” showing the talents of Khmer artisans.
In front of the temple gate, there is a row of tall jaggery, a familiar image of the western part of the river. The interior of the temple is decorated with colorful paintings, elaborate motifs are meticulously carved. The patterns and reliefs are decorated with lotus-shaped motifs and gentle and elegant curves. Between the pillars are carved many reliefs depicting the stories of the Buddha’s life and Buddhist teachings. It is known that the entire decorative motifs and patterns of the entire temple took 4 years to complete by artisans.
