About Nguyen Van Troi Bridge
Nguyen Van Troi Bridge is the first bridge built on the banks of the Han River. The bridge is located in the city center, right at the roundabout at the intersection of 2-9 and Duy Tam streets. This project is located parallel to Tran Thi Ly Bridge ,about 5kmfrom Dragon Bridge , Han River Swing Bridge, and Da Nang International Airport.

Trees Nguyen Van Troi bridge was built in 1960 by the US contractor RMK power could. At that time, the bridge was started with the purpose of serving the long war. According to some documents, before 1975, the Nguyen Van Troi bridge was named Lattre de Tassigny (name of a French general). After 1975, this place was renamed Nguyen Van Troi Bridge.

When Da Nang city gradually entered the period of urbanization, the Nguyen Van Troi bridge could no longer meet the rapidly growing needs of commerce, transportation, tourism and services. That’s why the city intends to remove the bridge to rebuild another bigger, more modern and beautiful bridge. However, at the beginning of February 2012, the government made a decision to keep Nguyen Van Troi bridge to make a pedestrian bridge for people to travel and admire. On March 29, 2013, the bridge was officially closed to traffic.
