KON TUM – Thanh Hang suggests new places with beautiful natural scenery in Mang Den and a one-day discovery schedule.

Nguyen Thanh Hang, 24 years old, from Hanoi, moved to Mang Den to live and work for 8 months. Here, she spends the weekends, separating herself from work, exploring every corner of this resort town.

“Many people say that Mang Den is sad, there are few places to play, there are only Pa Sy waterfall, the statue of Our Lady, Dak Ke lake, Kon Bring village… But the truth is that Mang Den has many other destinations that are still new, few people know. , associated with the natural scenery. These are the places I was suggested by the locals,” Thanh Hang shared.

If you get up early, from 5am is an ideal time to go hunting for clouds in the area of Tran Nhan Tong street . At this place, you can see the sea of clouds floating right below your feet. Around 6 o’clock the sun began to appear, the clouds gradually dissipated.

To get here, you will go through quite beautiful forest roads, empty of people, you can stop to rest and take pictures. The forest road with sunlight streaks through the foliage is the specialty of Mang Den town.

In Mang Den, there are many roads surrounded by layers of mountains, located among tall pine forests. Going through these roads, you will sometimes hear the murmuring stream.

At about 8:00, go to the old Mang Den airport , take pictures with the reed meadow. Here is currently an empty lot, there is no manager so you can freely go in and out, but you need to keep the general hygiene and order. The reed beach at the old airport is little known, so it is quite wild, old cotton wool, as high as the head.

Lo Ba Waterfall (1st street, beginning of Mang Den town) is the next destination. The waterfall has a height of over 40 m with more than 250 steps leading down to the stream. The water of Lo Ba waterfall brings with it the cold mountain air originating from the peaks of Mang But, Dak Tang, and Mang Canh, pouring down white foam.

In 2015, Kon Plong district (Kon Tum) invested a new route to serve people coming here. The road is concreted, with steep slopes difficult to walk. You should ride a motorbike because it will run through green pine forests and primeval forests, with the scent of coffee flowers.

Kon Tu Rang suspension bridge is 10 km from Mang Den town. The bridge crosses the river with many natural stone beaches, large and small intertwined. The two sides of the river are rice fields forming long waves in the sun. “The scenery is like a giant painting right under our feet. It’s not worth our effort to drive more than 10 km to come here”, Hang said.

Exploring Kon Tu Rang village at the foot of the bridge in the afternoon is the next suggestion. Hang and his friends drove to the dam near the statue of Our Lady. The bend from the junction of Highway 24 and Ngo Quyen Street has a small lake, empty of people, but there is a building built for road workers.

Come here in time at 5 pm, the sunset is just beautiful to end a full day.

The above places are all located in Mang Den town, so move quickly, mainly for sightseeing and taking pictures. You can quickly return to the homestay to take a lunch break or visit a coffee shop to relax for the afternoon journey. In addition, these places are all free to enter, quite deserted, few people know. You only need to fill up a gas tank from 80,000 to 100,000 VND for a whole day of travel. Extra money for lunch and coffee is about 200,000 VND.
