Noong Cop pine forest is a beautiful and poetic destination in Son La province. This pine forest is located in Quang Huy commune, Phu Yen district, only 2 km from the center of Phu Yen town. Today, the road to the pine forest is very convenient and easy to go, attracting many young people here to camp, picnic and enjoy the scenery.

Noong Cop is a beautiful land located at an altitude of more than 1000 meters above sea level. This place has a cool climate typical of the Northern mountainous region, ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius depending on the season of the year. Therefore, this climate is very favorable for tree species such as pine trees to grow and develop.
Going back to the past in 1984, Phu Yen Forest Enterprise planted more than 1,059 hectares of pine cones and three-leaf pine in Quang Huy commune, forming a large and green pine forest as it is today. Currently, this forest has thousands of beautiful green pine trees, nearly 40 years old.

To get to the beautiful pine forest in Phu Yen Son La district , visitors depart from the center of Phu Yen town, move in the direction of Suoi To about 2km to see a whole green forest present in front of their eyes. Although not as famous as Ban Ang pine forest, Noong Cop is also beautiful and extremely romantic.

The name Noong Cop means “frog pond” in the local language. In the past, this was just a desolate land with a natural pond on top of a hill.
