In recent years, when Moc Chau tourism developed, people in Van Ho began to deploy many trading services, open farms, flower gardens, homestays… to serve tourists. Along Highway 6, many households take advantage of their family’s farming garden to grow seasonal canola and yellow canola flowers, creating a check-in scene to attract tourists.
At the Chieng Di slope area (Van Ho), there is a garden of plum flowers and canola flowers that are blooming white and dreamy, located right next to the national highway, surprising visitors.
According to Ms. Giang Thi Chu – the daughter of the garden’s owner, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year , the garden welcomes about 800 visitors every day.
Over the past two days, guests went in and out continuously, family members had to take turns looking after the garden and collecting money. “Visitors flock to Moc Chau to see plum blossoms. When passing the Chieng Di slope area, seeing my house’s cabbage garden in full bloom, lying on the side of the road, they stopped to visit and take pictures and rest,” said Ms. Chu. .

Tran Thi Ngoc Anh’s family (Hoang Mai, Hanoi) took her two-year-old daughter, four-year-old daughter and three-month-old grandchild to Moc Chau for tourism. When crossing Chieng Di slope, the whole family was attracted by the pure white cabbage garden.
“The scenery was so beautiful, so we quickly stopped the car, went to the garden to visit and take pictures. This place is located next to the national highway, so it is very convenient to move,” said Ms. Ngoc Anh.
It is known that in the past, this garden planted plum plums to harvest fruit. However, after about 30 years, plums are old, so there are fewer flowers and fewer fruits than before. To earn extra income, Ms. Chu’s family sowed yellow and white mustard seeds in mid-November.
After about 2 months, the flowers bloom, forming pure, dreamy white patches in the late winter and early spring, attracting tourists. “My house just sows seeds, but I didn’t think it would attract so many visitors,” said Ms. Chu.
“This type of cabbage does not take much care. This year, it rains a lot, the soil is moist, so the flowers grow well, less need to be watered,” said Ms. Chu.
Cauliflower season will last about a month. Currently, the price to enter the garden is 20,000 VND / visitor, and the rental price for costumes is 30,000 VND / set. On Tet days and weekends, garden owners can collect millions, even tens of millions of dong.($1=24,000 VND)
