DONG NAI – Statue of Mother Mary is placed on top of Cui Mountain, behind is Tri An lake bed, facing Xuan Loc diocese.
The statue of Mary is located at the Pilgrimage Center of Our Lady of Nui Cui in Gia Tan 1 commune, Thong Nhat district, Xuan Loc Diocese, about 90 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. The project is located near National Highway 20, heading to Da Lat. From Dau Giay junction, visitors continue to go in the direction of National Highway 20 about 15 km to Doc Mo parish, go another 5 km to arrive.The project started construction on August 15, 2018, and is being completed. This place is one of the largest pilgrimage centers in Vietnam, the square area alone can accommodate 100,000 people.On January 29, the construction team finished painting the statue. The height from the foot to the top of the statue is 33 m, the base is 17 m high. This is considered the tallest statue of Mary in Vietnam.The statue was built on top of Cui Mountain, behind is Tri An Lake. And Our Lady looks to Xuan Loc diocese.Up to now, the main part of the statue of Our Lady has been completed, there are still 8 other items in the Pilgrimage Center that continue to be built.On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Pilgrimage Center is open to visitors from February 2 to 9 (2nd to 9th New Year). This place welcomes thousands of visitors every day. The statue area has two aisles for guests, so even though it’s crowded, there’s still no jostling.The statue of Our Lady of Nui Cui is tall in the middle of a vast space, viewed from National Highway 20.
