THAI BINH – Summer is an ideal opportunity for photographers to photograph the dawn and the Milky Way on the beaches of Dong Chau and Quang Lang.

Dong Chau beach belongs to Dong Minh commune, Tien Hai district, about 35 km from Thai Binh city center and about 140 km from Hanoi. This is one of the spots near Hanoi that many photographers come to photograph every spring – summer. Thanks to the fresh air, photographers can capture and view the Milky Way from March to the end of summer.

Doan Ngoc Anh is a freelance photographer currently living and working in Tien Hai, Thai Binh. When it gradually turned to summer, in addition to his main job, the 9x guy brought his camera to take pictures of his hometown. To photograph the Milky Way, Ngoc Anh came to Dong Chau beach from midnight.

Meanwhile, to catch the dawn moments, Ngoc Anh gets up early at 4:30 to go to the sea around 5 and wait. In the early days of this April, at about 5:45 a.m. dawn, he shot about 30 minutes earlier. Bright colors gradually appear with the dawn on Dong Chau sea.

The area of fish huts, where fishing boats are anchored in Dong Chau Sea, is the place that attracts tourists and amateur and professional photographers to watch the sunrise the most.

Around 7am – 8am onwards, the sun rises gradually, dyeing both the sky and the sea.

Dong Chau beach has a beach about 5 km long, which still retains many wild features. In addition, visitors can take a boat or motorboat to visit and bathe in Con Thu and Con Vanh, 7 km from the mainland. Ngoc Anh shared: “It’s summer now, so Dong Chau beach is welcoming tourists back. In the cool afternoon, guests can visit to eat and swim.”

Ngoc Anh also hunts for sunrise photos at Quang Lang beach in Diem Dien town, Thuy Hai commune, Thai Thuy district, about 30 km from Dong Chau beach.

This beach has the feature that at low tide, the water on the sandy beach mixed with alluvium reaches the ankles, stretching like a giant mirror reflecting everything.

Quang Lang beach is also a place to generate daily income for local people. Early in the morning at the beach, tourists can easily see people wading through the sand to push fish to catch fish, or fish for crabs, nail snails… art painting.
