Over the past 15 years, the Tam Tien fish market is still busy with boats going out in the early morning, selling all kinds of fresh, delicious shrimp, fish, crabs, and crabs.
Hundreds of fishing boats gather along Tam Tien coast, carrying fish and shrimp to the shore at dawn. Fishermen said that more than 15 years ago, Tam Tien was merely the place where boats docked. Later, when the number of fishing boats increased, traders also focused more on creating the busy market today.
In addition to motor boats, basket boats are an effective means of transporting fish tanks ashore.
Around 4am, the sky was still black, the market was bustling. The male fish crop in Tam Tien lasts from the beginning of April to the end of September, but for fishermen, this fish crop comes when the southwest wind comes and ends in the wick wind.
The fish market on Tam Tien beach in Nui Thanh district is about 15 km from Tam Ky city. The market is only held in the summer season (in the season of male fish) and is the largest place to sell seafood in Quang Nam province.
From the center of Tam Ky city, tourists ride along DT614 road towards Tam Thanh beach to meet a junction. From here, go about 6-7 km on the right hand side to arrive.
Seafood in the market is diverse, almost any type is available, from alum fish, plaice, mackerel, anchovies, tuna to pit fish, scad and shrimp, crab and crab.

Barrels of anchovies are sold to traders and dried. Fishermen said that anchovies and scallops are often exploited by a net (net of the fin with a trellis fin), many days hit 1-2 tons of fish.
Fresh squid and rice attract tourists. Squid also known as milk squid, about 5-12 cm long, filled with eggs inside. Squid rice is considered a nutrient-rich specialty of the Central Coast region.
The selling price of seafood at the market differs depending on the type of big and small, such as birdfish 120,000 – 140,000 VND / kg, scallop 50,000 – 70,000 VND / kg or squid of 100,000 – 140,000 VND / kg. On holidays, the selling price will be higher than normal.
