Can Tho is famous for its southern-styled eco-tourism sites. If you want to have a space to experience the old Western features, you can visit the culinary eco-zone of your hometown, Hung Loi ward, Ninh Kieu district. This place has an area of about 7,000 m2 including green space, ponds, garden houses displaying old items from decades ago.
In the ecological zone, there are many works recreating the ancient features of the South. The three-room house follows traditional architecture, wooden tables and chairs, glass paintings, mandarin lamps, altar cabinets, copper incense burners… which are carefully preserved, dignified and nostalgic.
A corner displays televisions, fans, vases, ceramics, etc. There are also interesting collections of artifacts, such as more than 100 cassette players and tape recorders that are still in use.
The most impressive is the collection of Kohler 4 machines with more than 100 pieces. About 50 years ago, the machine was a great asset to many people in the South when they were still traveling mainly by boats and canoes on the river. Currently, very few people use this machine. Machines are lined up in a long line in the ecological area, wherever visitors can go.
