“I am very happy to wade in the mud. The flowers are very beautiful, the effort is well worth it”, she said. Along with Ms. Han, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Du was quite interested in the feeling of wading in the mud, admiring the royal head seal. “This flower is very simple, because it blooms in the whole field, it is beautiful and special”.

Mr. Le Hoang Long, Director of Tram Chim Tourist Area, said that this year flowers appear in both A4 and A5 areas, with a total area of about 25 hectares. The garden is operating a tour to visit royal flowers in subdivision A4 with a package ticket price from 250,000 to 300,000 VND per person, expected to open the tour until the end of May.

The name royal head seal comes from the bright yellow flower color, small shape when blooming into many buds like a small seal. The flower stem is about 10-20 cm long, grows in a bush, also known as a kitchen wand or a drumstick.

Flowers currently only grow in Tram Chim National Park, where the wild features of the Dong Thap Muoi region are still preserved. Flowers bloom from March to May, only bloom from 10am to 13pm during the day.

Mr. Phan Chi Nhut, guide of Tram Chim tourist area, a native of Tam Nong, shared that his grandparents were very afraid when they met the royal seal flowers because they signaled that the land was heavily contaminated with alum. To grow rice on this land of flowers is very hard work, it takes many years to improve.

The flower that signals the land of acid burnt grass is quite attractive to tourists every time it blooms. Tram Chim tourist area used to put flower fields into operation in the years 2015-2017. But then they stop blooming, until 2020 and 2022.
