Coffee An on Trung Nhi Street, Ward 1, Vi Thanh City of Mr. and Mrs. Dang Thi Nghe is a familiar meeting place for many tourists who love ancient space coffee. The patrons informally call the shop owner Mr. and Mrs. Tu.
The shop is about 50 m2 wide, located in the house built in 1985 of the owner. The shop has deep tones, open space, no air conditioning. The space displays antiques collected from many places such as dial-up phones, black and white TVs, typewriters, storm lights … and many antiques from the 50s-60s. In it, old family items such as bookshelves, amplifiers, cassettes are also decorated.
Mrs. Nghi said that she and her husband both like antiques, but in the past, they did not have the conditions to collect like others. When the children are older and have common interests, the whole family comes up with the idea of designing a family cafe to look after and create joy for grandparents in old age.
Ly Kim Yen (Vi Thanh City) often appoints a friend at a coffee shop when you have free time. She said the shop does not sell new dishes, runs after the times, but still keeps the old preparation. “The owner is simple, considering us as children and grandchildren in the house, so he feels nice and warm. The drinks are delicious, the price is affordable,” she said.
The restaurant is open from 6am to 9:30 pm, in the morning the restaurant also serves breakfast for guests who need it. Guests can sit outside or indoors, the seats are small but comfortable, and the parking is spacious. The shop does not ban smoking, so it is sometimes annoying for those who are not used to the smell of tobacco smoke.
