Fresh Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves cost from 8-10 million VND/lg but dried leaves are up to 70 million VND/kg.

The seller of this product is Mr. Tran Quang Hung. He said that Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves are heat treated through 6 steps, ensuring that the substances in the leaves remain intact. Each dried leaf tablet is a leaf branch (about 5 leaves) of a mature ginseng plant. Old leaves will be full of essence.

Dried leaves are chosen by many people because they are easy to preserve and can be used for a long time. Fresh leaves spoil more quickly and are difficult to preserve for a long time.

Talking about Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves, Mr. Tran Duc An – director of the company specializing in Ngoc Linh ginseng, said that ginseng leaves are usually collected from November to December of the solar calendar. This is the time when their seeds have already been harvested, so harvesting the leaves does not affect the collection of seeds. The tree also enters the dormant stage, so it does not affect the tree at all.

At this time, there are very few Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves, so consumers are careful when buying fresh ginseng leaves on the market. The fresh type can be distinguished with the naked eye as Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves, which are irregular, large and small, and sell for 8-10 million VND/kg fresh. Chinese or Lai Chau ginseng leaves are pointed, long, with equally large stems, ginseng flowers are still on the green leaves and the price is very cheap.

Currently, there are two most popular ways to use Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves: soaking in wine and steeping in water to drink like tea. Mr. Duc An also said that his company uses Ngoc Linh ginseng to make tea and coffee, making it more convenient for people to use.

Users can use fresh leaves or dried leaves to brew tea. With 5 grams of leaves, you will mix with 500ml of water and use during the day. The most appropriate time is to use tea in the morning.

In addition, Ngoc Linh ginseng leaves can be soaked in wine, but you should choose wine with an alcohol concentration of 30 to 35 degrees. Before soaking in wine, you should wash the Ngoc Linh Ginseng leaves and then place the leaves in a vase. With 350 grams of leaves, you should soak it in an 18 liter jar.
