Tho Chu Island is one of 8 islands in Tho Chau island district, Kien Giang province, and is the frontline island in the southwest sea of ​​the country, with a special security and defense position. Every year, people on the island have to move their residence according to the windy season and this place is known as the “windy island”.

The island currently has about 2,000 people, concentrated in Bai Dong and Bai Ngu. Residents mainly do farming and fishing. Coming to the fishing village, you can go on a raft to raise fish to learn about the fishermen’s marine profession, go on a squid fishing boat and enjoy delicious seafood such as cobia, shrimp…

To go to Tho Chu, visitors have to go to Phu Quoc island, and go to Bai Vong port to board Tho Chau 09 ship to the island. Every month, the boat will run on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th.
