In 1852, this communal house was ordained by the 5th King Tu Duc. At that time, the communal house was also called Thanh Hoa Trung and was located in Tay Xuyen district – Dinh My canton. 

In 1902, the communal house was reunited, the church held a meeting and decided to move the communal house to Thot Not market about 1km away from the old place because the terrain was not beautiful and the landscape was not airy. Currently, Thanh Hoa communal house belongs to Phung Thanh 1 area – Trung Kien ward – Thot Not district.

When moving to the new terrain, most locals and tourists commented that this place is beautiful, poetic style, fresh and cool air because it is near the big river confluence. Until 2009, the communal house was renamed Thanh Hoa because the Ban Te agreed on such a name.
