BINH PHUOC – Vo Thi Hong’s journey through forests and streams in Bu Gia Map is more challenging when encountering many graters.

Vo Thi Hong, born in 1998, now lives in Ho Chi Minh City, always looking to the forest to relax after working days. Growing up in Dak Lak, Hong has always had a love for the great place. She has a colleague who shares the same hobby of climbing and going to the forest, so at the end of November, the two had a trekking trip in Bu Gia Map National Park (Binh Phuoc) for two days.

“It was an impromptu moment for the two sisters. At the beginning of the week, when they invited each other, they booked a tour. Almost broke the truss due to an urgent booking but also chose a weekend, so every tour was closed,” Hong shared. The 24-year-old girl’s initial wish was to experience self-sufficiency, but due to her busy work, she did not have much time to plan and study the route, so she had to go on a tour.

The whole group was led by two S’Tieng people, Dieu Don and Dieu Dung, who led the group together with a local guide. It took about two and a half hours for the group to reach the campsite. The total trek is 8 km long, much shorter than the 36 km Ta Nang – Phan Dung palace Hong has experienced, so he does not feel tired.

Hong describes the trekking route as U-shaped, going down to the stream and camping nearby, when coming back, he will climb from there. And to increase the challenge for the journey, when the group had just started about 100m, it rained, making the already steep road even more slippery.

What Hong misses most is the very dense forest. I applied anti-squeeze before leaving, but because it was raining, it was a success. Hong lamented: “The more I go to the squeegee, the more I attack. At first, I was scared, but then I got used to it, and let it go. When I opened the socks, I saw two or three squeegees, now I still get goosebumps when I think about it.” After the trip, Hong’s feet became famous with the title of “Sweet attractive feet”.

The dinner prepared by the S’Tieng people “full of the flavor of the forest” includes lam rice, soup, banana flower salad, beef cooked with bamboo tubes, chicken and roast duck. “While the rice was still cooking, I hummed in front of the chicken thigh, then sat down to listen to the brothers share about the forest. During the resistance war against the US, this place was the fiercest battlefield in the Southeast… “. Hong loves Chuho wine, the sweetness is contained in a tube of the umbrella. The material is seed bananas grown in the forest and each specific tree produces only one chamber.

The Hong sisters spent the night in a small tent covered with insulation. The night is deep, and only the music of the mountains and forests remains. “I slept very well in the sound of cicadas, flowing waterfalls and wind. The forest always gives me a very special, very different feeling that no other place has.” She even made friends with a tabby cat on the way home the next morning. The cat “hitched” on Hong’s backpack, followed her to climb the pass, and wade through the stream, over three slopes before saying goodbye. Near the campsite, there is a waterfall with white foam. She still regretted that it was raining that day, the water fell heavily, causing the red soil to lose the opportunity to bathe in the fairy.

The group finished the journey at 3pm, had a place to wash up before returning. For Hong, going to the forest is a way for her to relieve the pressures of life, purify her soul and find peace. Hong hopes to return to Bu Gia Map as soon as possible with close friends to make the journey more complete.

Sharing the trip experience, Hong said that those who go hiking and trekking should bring chocolate. “When I’m tired, I make a pill, which is both compact and effective and helps to replenish energy effectively, add a bottle of electrolyte water. I bring clothes with half a backpack, the other half is full of food!”, Hong said. .

Other notes:

– Minimum equipment: 2 bottles of water, clothes for 1 day and 1 night in the forest, trekking shoes, honeycomb sandals, hat, hat, bandana and cane.

– Moving from Ho Chi Minh City from the Eastern bus station, the distance is about 200 km, the time is about 4.5 hours.
