Lan Ha Bay is located in the east of Cat Ba archipelago, and is a member of the Club Association of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World (MBBW). It has calm and blue waters.

To visit the bay, there are currently 3 types of ships for guests to choose from: overnight cruise ships (wooden, steel, iron ships) designed for 6 to 60 guests; Hourly trains (wooden and steel ships) can accommodate from 18 to 99 guests. Visitors can also choose speedboats to transport 5-10 guests.

To go to Lan Ha Bay, at Cai Beo wharf, visitors buy scenic tickets costing 30,000 VND per person, then take a boat or canoe to Lan Ha. Private boat rental price is 2.2-3.8 and 5.7 million VND for 2.5-4 and 6 hours respectively, the boat can carry 25 people. The rental price for a motorboat is 500,000-1 million VND.

With an area of ​​over 7,000 hectares, Lan Ha Bay is divided into three main sightseeing routes.

Route 1, the boat follows the route Ben Beo port – Fishing village – Monkey Island – Ben Beo . Visitors will visit fishing villages on the sea, fish cage farming area, then go to Cat Dua Island, also known as Monkey Island.

On Monkey Island, there are monkeys living, if you like to explore, you can climb to the top of the mountain to take souvenir photos, zoom in on the panoramic view of Lan Ha Bay. This place also has two arc-shaped beaches, Cat Dua 1 and Cat Dua 2. This is an ideal place for swimming, the clear blue water can clearly see the schools of small fish swimming under the water. The fine white beach is made up of coral debris.

Sightseeing route number 2 has the route Ben Beo port – Fishing village – Monkey Island – Turtle island – Cua Viet Hai – Quai To – Three Daos – Dark cave – Bright cave – Ben Beo.

With this tour, visitors will experience the majestic natural landscape of Lan Ha Bay, swimming at Monkey Island; sightseeing unspoiled islands such as Van Boi, Ba Trai Dao and kayaking, rafting through the mountains at Bright Cave – Dark Cave.

At route 3, visitors will follow the route Ben Got – Gia Luan – Tra Bau – Ang Ong Cam – Dark Cave – Bright Cave – Gia Luan – Ben Got.

Starting the journey, visitors start at Got Wharf (Cat Hai town), the sightseeing boat will take you through Phu Long mangrove forest and go to Gia Luan to visit Hoa Cuong rock cave with an altitude of 50 m above sea level. . The stalactite cave has sparkling stalactites with strange shapes creating a ravishing scene.

From Gia Luan, the ship continues to take guests to visit the aquaculture area in Tra Bau area, Ang Ong Cam. Visitors can use kayaks or bamboo boats to enjoy the scenery when entering Dark Cave – Bright Cave.

The journey to discover Lan Ha Bay usually starts at 8:30 and ends at 16:30. Visitors can buy tours to save money, prices range from 200,000 to 350,000 VND per person with lunch. Popular itineraries include visiting the bay and ancient fishing village, bathing and snorkeling at some unspoiled beaches, kayaking or rafting through the caves.
