HO CHI MINH CITY – The hot rice restaurant is located on Truong Sa Street, District 3, attracting a lot of curious diners. In 5 hours, the shop sold more than 300 servings of chicken rice with fat.

After 11am, about 15 people lined up neatly waiting to buy fried chicken rice. Nhat Thanh, who lives in the Go Vap district, rides a motorbike for 45 minutes to the shop to buy 3 servings of rice, waits from 9:30 to more than 11 a.m. to have food to take home. “I knew about the restaurant through the introductory videos and then came to try it. In the past, I visited the restaurant on the spot, it was not as crowded as it is now. The rice portion is attractive, the price is affordable,” commented Thanh.

Standing in line for 30 minutes, Oanh, District 3, was curious about the rice portion because she found the introductory video very delicious. “I arrived at 11 o’clock but before me, there were about 15 people waiting, it’s my turn to wait for another hour”, she said last Sunday, she stopped to buy, but the shop was closed. This time, she decided to come back to buy a box of “fever-causing” fried chicken lunch boxes.

Most of the customers waiting to buy rice know information from social networks, others are introduced by you. Some people said that the restaurant was crowded, so it must be a good seller, and also stopped in line to buy it.

Tran Ngoc Thien Trang, 23 years old, the owner’s son, said the restaurant has been open for more than a year. From about 2 weeks now, customers to the shop have increased dramatically, even waiting in line. “In the past, the shop sold about 20 kg of chicken, now it must be more than 100 kg, and the rice is more than 300 pieces,” Trang said. From 10am, the restaurant starts to have rice and sells continuously until 3pm.

On the sharing page, the shop happened to be filmed and introduced by a TikToker, fortunately, supported by diners. “My family and I feel very happy but also apologetic because we have to wait for people to buy rice, so we try to make food faster to sell to customers,” Trang confided.

Every morning, the shop takes the chicken from District 12 to District 3 to clean, salt, and boil it. When a customer orders, the restaurant takes the thigh, quadrant and thigh, and the chicken skin is fried hot and crispy. Wherever they sell, the fryer goes there so that the food is always hot and the chicken is not dry. Because the restaurant space is small, each time frying rice and chicken is limited to 2-3 kitchens, the number of customers is crowded, so the restaurant can’t serve it in time.

According to the sharing of diners, what they are impressed with about the rice portion is that the sauce is made according to its own recipe, “can be dipped with everything” and “every time buy rice, you have to ask for more sauce”. In addition, the crispy fried chicken skin served with the sauce is quite delicious, customers who buy rice all order more fried chicken skin from 10,000 to 20,000 VND/piece.

The price of each meal is 28,000 VND. Customers often choose the part of rice with thighs because the piece is big and meaty, if you want to eat an omelet, you pay an extra 5,000 VND. The shop sells from 10 am to about 3 pm, from Monday to Saturday and may run out of rice early. Currently, the restaurant only sells takeout.
