Reader Nguyen Phuong Anh enjoys a three-day, two-night stay in Ninh Thuan in February, with the full experience thanks to people’s advice.

We traveled at a time when the Covid-19 epidemic was quite stressful, so Ninh Thuan is an ideal destination to still have fun without being too worried, due to the low number of local infections. short.

I call this a peaceful trip because instead of staying in the city, we rent a homestay in Vinh Hy Bay . The beautiful little bay is surrounded by mountains, there are not many restaurants, places to play or luxurious accommodation, but we had a complete experience, largely thanks to the advice of the people here.

The weather is quite favorable during the trip in February.

Move

Ninh Thuan doesn’t have an airport, so we had to book a ticket from Hanoi to Cam Ranh – Nha Trang airport and then take a taxi back to Ninh Thuan. One-way taxi price if going to the city is about 500,000 VND, if going to Vinh Hy is 600,000 VND.

Accommodation

I stay at Truc Nguyen homestay in the village, room price is 250,000 VND/night. Homestay is literally the people’s home, so there is no shimmering room to check in. But in return, the host is cute and kind, I can immerse myself in the life of the people here.

Schedule

First day: Vinh Hy Bay – Thai An grape village

In the morning, most of the time is spent moving, checking in, having lunch, and resting. In the afternoon, we rented a canoe to the bay to swim and watch the coral for 800,000 VND for a canoe, carrying four people.

If you have been to Vinh Hy, you should not miss this experience. The canoe driver has a skilled handlebar, so much so that we feel like we are the main actors in an action movie. He also supports taking pictures, guiding diving and taking them to a place with a beautiful view to check-in. In the bay, there are also banana boat rides and jet skis.

After diving to see the coral, we returned to the homestay to shower, rent motorbikes to Thai An grape village . Along the way there are many different vineyards, you just go and see which garden is beautiful and has lots of fruit.

Grape picking at the garden, for only about 50,000 VND/kg.

In the evening we went to eat seafood, the price was moderate and there was absolutely no pressure on tourists. However, the bay is small so not many options. At the end of the meal, the group went for a walk and drank water on the bay.

Second day: Rai Cave – Kinh Beach – Binh Hung Island – Lo O Stream

It takes about 20 minutes by motorbike from the bay to Hang Rai. There is a rocky beach, with interesting small salt holes, and a red wooden bridge to see the sea. The ticket price to visit Rai cave is 20,000 VND/person.

Near noon, we moved to Kinh beach, about 40 minutes by motorbike from the bay. If you don’t mind the wind and sun, you should rent a motorbike to see the beautiful and easy-to-go sea route, with many points to check in. Bai Kinh is also the place to catch the train to Binh Hung Island. Note, you remember to bring your identity card or citizen identification to be able to cross the island.

When the group arrived at the port to take a cruise, many people came to give business cards and offer food service on the raft. We were quite shocked, so we picked up a business card quickly because we thought the price would be the same. If you dine at a raft house, the service includes the cost of the boat to the place to eat and then to the island. The boat from the island to the shore costs 10,000 VND / person. The group has four people, eating comfortably for nearly 2 million VND for a seafood meal.

Binh Hung Island is quite small. We explore, see the sights and take pictures. Renting a tram to the lighthouse is 50,000 VND/car per turn. The price to enter the area 13 check-in points is 30,000 VND/person.

The bridge leads to Lo O stream.

Returning to Vinh Hy, we stopped at Lo O stream, located about two kilometers from the homestay on the village road. If not introduced by the homestay owner, the whole group would have missed a destination with enough virtual living corners. Here, you can check-in at streams, wooden bridges, natural stone paths, forests, rural life… In the evening, the whole group asks the homestay owner to cook and eat at home.

Third day: Wind power field – Tanyoli – Nam Cuong sand hill – Po Klong Garai tower – Suoi Tien sheep field

Because the locations are quite far from the bay, we rented a taxi for the third day. The price of a car going to all these points and going to the airport is 1.8 million VND/day. After the tour, stop by a chicken rice restaurant on the way to have dinner and then go to the airport, ending your journey to the fishing village life in Ninh Thuan.
