Among the 10 long-standing bakeries in Ho Chi Minh City, Bay Ho opened the earliest, in 1930.

Within the framework of the 1st Bread Festival, Vietnam Record Organization – VietKings has established a list of 10 famous and long-standing bread brands in Ho Chi Minh City. The selected brands have been operating for over 50 years and are now known to many people in Ho Chi Minh City and tourists.

At the announcement, Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, said that after more than 50 years of establishment and development, the honored brands have contributed to the formation of Vietnamese identity and culture. and help spread the image of the country’s tourism to international friends.

Seven Tiger Bread

The bakery is located on Huynh Khuong Ninh Street, District 1, open for sale from 13:30 to 19:00 daily. Seven Tigers opened its doors in 1930, has passed three generations and is known by many people in Ho Chi Minh City. Each loaf of bread here costs about 20,000 VND. The crust is ordered from a separate oven. Other ingredients such as pate, shumai, spring rolls, meat, and cotton balls are hand-made by this family shop. For more than 90 years, the bakery has kept the same recipe as it did when it first opened. Photo: Rey winter stuff

Original Bread

The first bakery of this brand opened in Hanoi in 1942, famous for its cold meat filling. In 1979, the shop owner, Nguyen Van Mieu (deceased), entered Ho Chi Minh City and three years later opened his first store here. Currently, the bakery is passed on to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tung by Mr. Mieu, the youngest of 8 children. The bakery in Hanoi is managed by the 4th daughter-in-law and granddaughter of Mieu.

Uncle Ly’s Bread

Hoa Ma Bread

Sang Bread

The shop is located in the capital market, district 5. In 1950, the shop was a bread cart owned by a Chinese owner. In 1982, Mr. Tang Tan, the current shop owner, took over. From a small trolley, the bakery has now moved to a corner house near the busy Five Lights.

The bakery has been open since 1968.
