 In the list of 100 most delicious pastries in the world recently announced by the famous culinary site TasteAtlas, a representative from Vietnam was named.

Recently, TasteAtlas – a website dubbed the “world food map” has announced a list of 100 most delicious pastries globally. Voting criteria are based on the popularity of the dish.

In the ranking of 100 most famous cakes in the world this year, a representative of Vietnam was named pork skin cake.

Referring to the specialty cake of Vietnam, TasteAtlas described: “Pig skin cake is a traditional Vietnamese dessert, consisting of layers of chewy cakes interwoven. The cake is made from mashed mung beans, tapioca starch. , rice flour and coconut milk.

In the traditional way, each pig skin cake will have a light yellow layer made from green beans and a green layer made from pandan leaves. In addition, other ingredients such as durian or taro can be used flexibly.”

It is known that pork skin cake is one of the famous specialties originating from the Southern provinces. This type of cake can be made and eaten all year round thanks to easy-to-find and easy-to-cook ingredients. The cake is soft, supple, and tough like pig skin, so it is so named.

In addition, topping the list of 100 most delicious pastries in the world is Pavlova cake. The cake is named after Anna Pavlovna Pavlova – a famous Russian ballet dancer. The Taste Atlas page describes the Pavlova cake as a summer dessert, “as delicate as the ballerina for which it is named”.
