In 1949, Governor-General of Indochina gave it back to King Bao Dai, since then the villa has been named Bao Dai Villaor Bao Dai Floor. King Bao Dai used this villa from 1933-1954 to work and relax with his family on every occasion to go to the North during his time as Emperor Dai Nam and the Head of State of Vietnam.
In 1955, the North was liberated. Bao Dai villas were assigned to the Ministry of Defense for management. By 1984, the Ministry of Defense handed over to the Do Son Hotel and Tourism Joint Stock Company for management. As time passed, the war destroyed, the mansion deteriorated. With the permission of the State, the company restored, in 1999, the villa has become as magnificent as before and is open to tourists to visit and relax here.
