Long Son Pagoda in Nha Trang was built in 1886 by Venerable Thich Ngo Chi from Thanh Hoa, the abbot who participated in the anti-French movement, then left home to become a monk. The pagoda was originally named Dang Long Tu, located on the mountain until the year of the Rat (1900), where there was a big storm when the pagoda had to move to the foot of Trai Thuy mountain as it is today.

In 1936, Long Son Pagoda was selected to donate to Hoi An Nam Buddhist Studies, in 1940 the temple was restored and spacious. In 1968 due to the fierce war, the pagoda was destroyed, the roof tile was destroyed, and it was not until 1975 that it was restored 60% of the time, then built and restored to perfection and kept its appearance to this day. Since its establishment, Long Son Pagoda has undergone 133 years of construction and restoration with 3 generations of abbots and has become one of the famous temples in Nha Tranh that is loved by many people.

In addition to the main hall, going to the right of the temple, visitors can check-in at the road to the top of the hill with 193 steps symbolizing faith, loyalty to the Buddha Dharma and courage to rise up.
