On January 14, Van Tong factory (District 12) is urgently and busy. At each corner of the workshop, the workers are concentrating on doing their part when the preparation for Nguyen Hue 2021 flower street is in the sprint stage.
Mr. Le Hoang, in charge of art of the workshop, said when receiving designs from Saigontourist Group, everyone was surprised about the ability to imagine the mascots and accessories of creative designers for Nguyen Hue flower street this year.
“The highlight of the flower road as every year is the mascot. This year, the Vietnamese buffalo mascot image is very new with two schools of creating buffalo from cubes and traditional sculpture”, Mr. Hoang said.

In particular, with the shape of a buffalo placed at the entrance to the flower street, the artisans used a very typical Vietnamese material, lotus leaf. According to Mr. Hoang, lotus leaf is a very easy material to find in Vietnam, so the steps to create a buffalo from the dried lotus leaf are very convenient and have a strong sense of Vietnamese culture.
This year the workshop was assigned to carry out 60 buffaloes in many different designs. The designers hope that the diversity in the flower street mascot this year will give the people of the city the opportunity to enjoy and experience while flying their imagination with the cubs.

Mr. Van Tong also said that the preparation work this year is more difficult than every year due to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic. Over the past two months, factory workers have been working hard to ensure the progress, in the next 10 days, all the mascots and components must be finished to transport to the flower street, arranged according to the approved design. .
As expected, the construction time of the flower road will take place from January 25 to 16:00 on February 9, 2021 (ie from December 13 to 28 of the year of the Canh Ty).
