VIETNAM The popular “fast food” breakfast in Vietnam is bread, ranked as one of the best in the world.

The breakfast chosen by SCMP in Vietnam to introduce to international visitors is bread - described as a French-Vietnamese flavor bomb. The next good breakfasts on the list are the nasi lemak rice (pictured), and the Malaysian roti canai.  Nasi lemak is rice cooked with coconut milk, pineapple leaves with a rich flavor, served with small dried fish, peanuts, and rendang curry (usually beef or chicken).  It is considered the country's national dish and visitors can easily find breakfast in restaurants that serve breakfast.
