Where is Ta Pa Pagoda?
This temple is also called by people here with a dear name Nui Temple, Chu Num (in the language of the Khmer). Located on Ta Pa hill, in Nui To commune, Tri Ton district, An Giang and 45 meters above ground level. The pagoda follows the Southern lineage of Theravada Buddhism with bold Khmer character. This place is close to other famous attractions with a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, is a suitable place to relax when traveling in the Southwest .

Guide the way to Ta Tri Ton pagoda
From the city center, you follow the direction of Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway. Then go on to the direction via NH1A and NH30 to Cao Lanh Bridge in An Binh. Going out from NH30 and going next is Highway N2B to Thoi Thuan. Go straight on Highway 91 to TL941 at Binh Hoa. You just need to go along TL941, from Tri Ton market to the end of Nguyen Trai street, when you see a big tree, opposite it is the gate of Ta Pa An Giang pagoda .

Impressive landscape and architecture of Ta Pa Pagoda
First, look up and you will see that this temple is built on supporting concrete pillars tens of meters high, not the ground. In addition, the tranquil space is surrounded by green trees. Therefore, many people compared it to be floating, visible from all sides. Plus, the Khmer architecture with a distinctive red-orange color looks even more outstanding and attracts the first time.

This is one of the famous Khmer Western temples known to many people. To get to the temple you have to go through the dirt road, then the next is the path full of ghosts. The new pagoda was built near the old one. It is a great effort for the monks because wherever they donate, they will go there. On the one hand, we want to keep the original architecture, on the other hand create more attractions to not only the people but also create more places to visit and worship when coming to Tri Ton.

Besides the majestic and large main hall, the pagoda also has a tower, stupa with a majestic jade Buddha statue in a sitting position facing the town. Surrounding the pagoda is the handrail decorated with orange-cast Khmer Nam Bo statues. The pictures, statues and reliefs depicting the Nagar god bird and serpent are bold art that are both intimate and unique.

The architecture of Ta Pa pagoda is considered to be a majestic work. Every corner is carved by the hands of Khmer artists and the carving brings sophistication to every detail. The highlight is the roof with the pointed tower soaring up into the sky, surrounded by prominent triangular peaks. Even the rafters, columns or doors of the temple are also decorated with images inspired by the life of Buddha. Or images of cultural activities of Khmer people with simple life.
