Visiting the hundred-year-old lighthouse
Here, one of the most attractive sights is the lighthouse built by the French colonialists just 100 years ago. This marine lighthouse is among the first few to appear in Vietnam with a height of 12, 5 meters and its structure is still solidly intact. From Ho Chi Minh City you take a bus to Ca Mau, then from the center of Ca Mau city to Hon Khoai Ca Mau Island, there will be 2 ways for you to choose:
– Option 1: From Ca Mau to Nam Can town, then continue to Khai Long gate. From here you hire a boat or catch a ship of the Border Guard, fishermen’s boat to go fishing to Hon Khoai island.
– Option 2: Travel by high-speed train departing from Ca Mau to Rach Goc, here continue to change smaller ships to cross the sea to go to Hon Khoai island.

– Because tourism here is not yet developed, very few houses are mainly border posts where the soldiers live, so it is difficult to find accommodation on the island. So if you want to stay you should bring a camping tent, food and some necessary supplies.
– Hon Khoai Ca Mau Island is geographically bordered by international waters, so if you want to go to Hon Khoai Island you must ask for permission from the Border Guard first. Visiting, filming and taking photos only in certain areas is allowed.
