How was the chicken church of Da Lat formed?

Why is it called ‘chicken church’? 

Perhaps many of you will not know that this very dear name was born is derived from a typical feature of the project. Right on the cross is placed a rooster 58m high, 66m long and crafted from alloy. There is nothing inside the chicken, the outside is covered with a quite special chemical layer.

Unique ancient architecture in Dalat Cathedral
