Introducing Binh Thuy communal house
Binh Thuy Dinh was established in 1844. Initially, the communal house was built to worship the royal citadel of Binh Hung village – Phu Ba Xuyen – An Giang. At this time, the architectural style of the house is mainly made from wooden bamboo and thatched leaves.
In 1852 the week of Huynh Man Dat government, when going on patrol, encountered a big storm. He took a temporary residence in Binh Hung canal. And luckily escaping the accident, the patrol held regrets and changed the fairy to Binh Thuy. After that, he submitted to King Tu Duc and asked for the throne of the village.
In 1904, the house was restored and restored by the governor Nguyen Duc Nhuan because the old architecture was about to be broken.
In 1908, Binh Thuy village changed to Long Tuyen. The reason for changing this name is because people see the river resembling a dragon. Emperor Binh Thuy’s communal house has also changed the name of Dinh Than Long Tuyen since then. And later, this temple was renamed Longquan Co Mieu.
In 1909, the communal house was built after a period of delay. In 1910, the restoration was completed.
By 1979, Long Tuyen commune was divided into 3 small communes: Binh Thuy – An Thoi – Long Tuyen. And Longquan Co Mieu still belongs to Binh Thuy district, so it was called Binh Thuy communal house .

Located on an area of more than 500,000 square meters, this temple owns 2 temples worshiping the Tiger Gods and the Gods Nong. Near the gate of the communal house, there are 2 temples worshiping God Khai Canal and the God of Forest.
About architecture Binh Thuy family different from the North family architecture. But it was influenced by Chinese architecture much. The area of the communal gate opens to the main road; the main communal house is facing the river bank. At the riverbank, there is also a column called Long Tuyen Co Mieu. The front house and the back house of the communal house have a square shape and each dimension has 6 pillars.
To enter the main communal house, you will pass through the three-door gate at the beginning of the alley. The gate is roofed with green tiled roof, the top of the roof is decorated with double buffalo painting. Below is a row of Chinese characters with the name Dinh and two adjacent sentences.
To the right of the gate is a vacant land with a large building facing the river. On the brick-roofed gate, there is a Vietnamese word for Binh Thuy.

The communal house is divided into two main areas: the main pavilion and the hamlet. With the main communal area including 5 houses and the hamlet including 1 house to prepare offerings. Next to it is a theater arranged scientifically and tidily providing an open space. Binh Thuy Dinh is not only a place of solemn worship but also a place for dignitaries in the village, meeting to discuss water affairs, focusing on fighting foreign invaders.

To the left of the main gate is the main communal house with 2 small entrance gates with the words Dinh – Than; Long – Tuyen. Both sides of the gate have husband roofs. On the roof of the pavilion is a sculpture of the dragon looking in balance with each other.
On the left corner of the courtyard from the outside in, there will be a shrine dedicated to Tay Lang – a place of worship for infantry. On the right is Dong Lang Temple – a place of worship for sailors. In the middle is a large cement screen. On it also decorated a Four Real Champions. Above is the statue of 2 birds. The two sides of the screen decorate the vase and basket of peach blossoms.

Roof architecture
The main communal house is built in the architecture of a two-storey roof-top style with a terrace. The roof is covered with green tiles with sophisticated decorative motifs, elaborate sculpture, art.
The roof top below is the unicorn image. At the top of the second tile roof is the image of Mr. Nhat, Ms. Nguyet and the image of a carp with a dragon. In the middle of the top of the roof is the image of bipolar painting Chau.
The main wall color is yellow, mixed with dark brown wood of the door, looking very harmonious. In the front are 6 black matching sentences written on a red background in Chinese. In front of the main door, there is an amulet.

Inside the main shrine is subdivided into the altars of Nghi Trung and Nghi Ha. With Nghi Thuong altar placed right next to the small house next to the communal house.
The arrangement of the altars in the communal house is diverse, rich and clearly shows the culture and reveals the generosity, provokes tolerance to receive all the quintessence in time and space.
Besides worshiping the gods, the village emperor or the kind people who have opened the land. Dinh Binh Thuy also set up other altars to worship heroes with meritorious services such as Nguyen Hue, Vo Huy Tap, Nguyen Trung Truc, Nguyen Trai, Dinh Cong Tru, Phan Chau Trinh, Phan Boi Chau .. And after the liberation of the country on April 30, 1975, the communal house also set up an altar to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
