Mr. Phan Nguyen (1985), from Gia Lai, is the owner of the YouTube channel Huong from the countryside has just made a culinary video about dishes cooked from this thorny fruit. The video records the process of Vuong Ngoc and Nhan Nguyen picking durians in Dang Nhan Dong’s garden in Thang Trach 2 village, Ia Kha town, Ia Grai district. To make the soup, it is necessary to choose an old fruit, turning yellow but not yet soft. The way to recognize old durian is that it has big, hard thorns but the thorns are slightly rounded, not sharp and tiny.

The fruit is picked, peeled off all the sharp thorns, separated the segments, removed the skin and seeds to get the rice and cut it into pieces. Buy ribs, cut into small pieces, wash and boil water to prepare for impurities, then wash ribs and add water to stew. After 30 minutes of stewing young ribs, add durian and season with salt and fish sauce to make the ribs soft, durian bloom, sprinkle with scallions and coriander to complete. In addition to cooking soup, durian can also be fried with flour until golden brown on both sides, then take it out and enjoy.
