More than 2,200 athletes participated in the Vietnam Mountain Marathon 2020 (VMM) in Sa Pa from the night of November 20 to 22 with distances of 10 km, 21 km, 42 km, 70 km, and 100 km.

A distance of 100 km starts at 9pm on 11/20, running overnight through the high mountains. In the early morning, visitors can watch the sea of ​​clouds in Sa Pa.

On September 21, distances 70 km, 42 km and 21 km run through terraced fields and villages. “The local people were very hospitable, they cheered and cheered for us along the way,” said Anais, a Belgian tourist.

According to the organizers, Vietnamese athlete Quang Tran was the first to finish within a distance of 100 km south, with a record of 13:01:11. Second place with the distance of 100 km this year belongs to French tourists Romain Berion and Gaetan Morizur.

The VMM Prize is always aimed at community activities. Up to now, the running series has contributed about 300,000 USD to charity activities. This year funds are allocated to local projects in Sapa, Operation Smile, Newborns Vietnam and Blue Dragon. The race is organized by Topas Travel and supported by the Topas Ecolodge resort – the end of the race.
