NGHE AN – Pu Xai Lai Leng border with Laos, about 250 km from Vinh city recently surveyed by the mission.
From January 14 to 17, the working group of Nghe An Tourism Department in coordination with related agencies and adventure travel experts completed the survey of Pu Xai Lai Leng Peak. The mountain peak is located in Na Ngoi commune (Ky Son district), close to the border with Laos, at an altitude of 2,720 m above sea level. Being the highest peak in the North of the Truong Son range, this place has unique primitive forests, suitable for those who love adventure tourism, community.
According to a member of the delegation, the journey starts from the center of Na Ngoi commune by pickup truck in the morning. After traveling about 15 km to the border station, the group started traveling by motorbike and hiked for about 20 km in about 4-5 hours. This 20 km road is always blurred by fog, many steep and steep sections, dense trees. Participants in the trip must bring some essentials, especially drinking water.
According to the leader of the Department of Tourism, the purpose of the trip is to assess the current status of tourism resources in order to perfect and develop adventure tourism “Conquering the summit of Puxailaileng”. Thereby, the development orientation of tourism products in Ky Son district in particular and Nghe An in general, in order to preserve and promote cultural values of ethnic minorities, natural landscapes, and suitable as the tastes of tourists.
