According to the city’s plan to welcome the new year, the artistic fireworks show will take place for 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2024, with a high-altitude shooting point at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel. and low point at Dam Sen Cultural Park, District 11. Funds mobilized from socialization sources.
In addition, the countdown program to welcome the new year 2024 will take place on the evening of December 31, at President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1). In addition, art performances will also be held in Thu Duc City and districts on the two nights of December 31 and January 1, 2024.
The beginning of the Saigon River tunnel
As usual, the area at the beginning of the tunnel crossing the Saigon River (Thu Thiem Tunnel, Thu Duc City) is a high-altitude fireworks display point.
1,500 high-altitude shells, 30 low-altitude shells, 10 pyrotechnic shells (a type of fireworks that emit light and color effects but do not cause explosions and are safe) will be prepared to be ready to fire at 0:00 on the 1st. January 2024.
Every year, this fireworks display location is often full of spectators. If you don’t mind crowds, people and tourists can visit restaurants, hotels, cafes, and public entertainment spots near the two fireworks displays to observe.
Dam Sen Cultural Park
The artistic fireworks display combined with water music countdown will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 00:00 a.m. on January 1, 2024 at the shore of Dam Sen Lake, Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11). 90 low-altitude rigs and 30 pyrotechnic rigs will be prepared to bring eye-catching fireworks displays.
On this occasion, the entrance ticket price remains unchanged, 140,000 VND for an adult ticket and 100,000 VND for a child ticket.
The Global City urban area
The countdown event and art performance combined with fireworks to celebrate the New Year will also be held at The Global City urban area (Do Xuan Hop street, An Phu ward, district 2, Thu Duc city).
The program is held from 5:00 p.m. on December 31 to 0:30 a.m. on January 1, 2024, with two areas open free of charge for people to watch the fireworks display.
According to the organizers, the highlight of this year’s event is the fireworks display with more than 4,500 fireworks fired in 15 minutes. Fireworks are performed on 100 technical rigs: flower spray rigs, pellet spray rigs, flashing rigs, the latest fireworks models produced. The fireworks range is guaranteed to serve more than 50,000 visitors at the same time, combined with special light and sound effects.
In addition, the water music performance with a fountain system over 60m high, combined with modern laser technology also promises to create an impressive scene. The sound effects were also created specifically for the festival.

This is the second year that The Global City has organized a large-scale New Year’s Eve event.
