HANOI – From the end of October, wild sunflowers, a typical flower of Ba Vi, begin to bloom and are at their most beautiful around mid-November.

Wild sunflowers are a typical flower of Ba Vi, a district in the semi-mountainous region located northwest of the capital Hanoi. In the 20s of the last century, when building a church and 9 villas on Ba Vi, the French brought this wild sunflower variety to plant.

Wild sunflowers here usually flower in October – November. Since 2015, realizing the love for this flower, Ba Vi National Park has planted more wild sunflowers to develop into a tourism product. according to the Ba Vi National Park website. Photo: Hoang Huy Hieu

Arriving in Ba Vi on October 26, Hoang Huy Hieu (24 years old, Nam Dinh) said that wild sunflowers had only bloomed at some points along the way, there were still many buds left. At that time, the most beautiful flower blooming area is about 500 meters from the ticket station to enter Ba Vi National Park. Photo: Hoang Huy Hieu

After about two weeks of flowers budding, on November 11, Le Thanh Phuong (Hanoi) came to Ba Vi to admire the most beautiful scenery of the flower season. Photo: Le Thanh Phuong

Currently, wild sunflowers are blooming along the road from the foot of the mountain through the ticket gate into Ba Vi National Park. Visitors can walk slowly to enjoy the yellow color stretching on both sides of the road. Photo: Le Thanh Phuong

The most beautiful flower-blooming area is about 4 km past the entrance to the National Park. “Looking up or looking down, you can see flowers,” Phuong said.

Although not as big as sunflowers, wild sunflowers grow in bushes, so when the flowers bloom, they create a brilliant yellow carpet. Photo: Le Thanh Phuong

In Ba Vi National Park, the paths are covered with yellow flowers. Compared to the area along the way, the flowers in the National Park bloom less and still have many buds. It is expected that in the next one to two weeks, visitors will be able to admire the flower season at its most beautiful time.

To enter Ba Vi National Park to see wild sunflowers, visitors need to buy a ticket for 60,000 VND for adults; 20,000 VND for students; 10,000 VND for students. Priority ticket price for the elderly and disabled is 30,000 VND. Photo: Le Thanh Phuong

In particular, the trees on the road from the pine forest area 400 up to the resort are in the season of changing leaves. “The stone lampposts and foliage turning yellow in the sun make this place have a poetic scenery like Korean roads in the fall,” Hieu shared. Photo: Hoang Huy Hieu

From the welcome gate of Ba Vi National Park to the top is the pass. Hieu advises visitors to use a manual car and have experience going on the pass. If traveling by bus, visitors can take bus routes 214, 71, 74.

Located at an altitude of about 1,000 m, Ba Vi has a fresh, cool climate. Early morning and late afternoon, the temperature is colder than the inner city of Hanoi, visitors should bring warm clothes. Be careful not to pick flowers, litter, or park your car in the right place. Photo: Hoang Huy Hieu
