For 3 consecutive years with many trials and failures, Mr. Duong has not faltered but continues to innovate the experience travel model. In 2018, the name “Healthy Shrimp Farm” was born in Hamlet 13, Vinh Hau commune, H.Hoa Binh, Bac Lieu province.The name “Healthy Shrimp” aims to promote clean aquaculture processes that help protect the health of consumers. In addition, bringing quality shrimp and fish resources combined with visiting and conserving mangrove resources for the community”, he expressed.He and his wife are keen to learn how to make from the models of travel around the region. As well as combining many of the elements available around the farm. “Roads are unfavorable but not too far from the center. Available resources such as mangroves, seafood resources here are always abundant so my wife and I decided to start working,” Diem said.
Experience rafting, farming, eating specialties on site
The farm was born from a field house temporarily covered with coconut leaves and bamboo and several rafts that could accommodate about 10 people. It’s enough for a family or group of friends to paddle deep into the woods to eat and sing.

If the cooking part is undertaken by his wife, Mr. Duong takes care of the reception and prepares the means for guests to experience. Recognizing the needs of guests, he also prepared candy speakers to pull so that guests go deep into the forest to play and sing without fear of disturbing the people around him.”Because the farm is located in a protective forest area, forest preservation is a mandatory task. The little trees I sometimes have to replant to ensure the prescribed forest cover rate. In addition, I am also experimenting with some biological water treatment such as planting grass on floating foam sheets to filter impurities in water or raising algae to absorb toxic waste. That helps shrimp grow healthy and productive,” he said.

“The ticket price to visit with my wife and I to experience life as a farmer is 30,000 VND. Guests who order will be counted separately. This money helps us to cover our lives and buy new equipment to serve visitors,”” Diem said.Coming to the farm, visitors have just been playing, eating comfortably to experience the free life of westerners. That’s why many people from as far away as Ho Chi Minh City also come to experience.In addition, Duong and his wife regularly organize sharing sessions on agricultural start-ups for farmers in the region to form a regional tourism chain to develop together.
